ABOUT THE ACTORS LAB STUDIO
The Studio is a regular, weekly, affordable, high challenge workshop for professional actors. This is not a progressional course. You can join us at any time, for as many or few terms as you wish. Content and approaches will vary term by term as we explore different aspects of technique. Focus will be on screen work but theatre technique will be explored too. We’ll work with a ‘layer cake’ approach, with multiple tools sinking you deeper into a more genuine, watchable and anchored performance. These tools are uncontroversial, used internationally, and draw from many different schools and approaches, as well as Peter’s own practical experience. Over time you will learn and re-visit techniques that you can apply reliably to work on your own. The Actors Lab Studio is a space where actors can visit to keep fit, work on audition scripts or new work, and build a deeper, more reliable and more imaginative approach to their craft.
