ACTORS LAB PRESENTS
With Peter Feeney
TWO WEEKEND WORKSHOPS AND A MASTERCLASS
HAWKES BAY1/2 FEBRUARY - $200
WELLINGTON 8/9 MARCH - $300
ACTING FOR SCREEN
In these weekend workshops I'm going to cover all the territory around camera technique, auditions and self-testing. There will be a lot of screen time and playback. I'll cover productive prep you can do for screen, and show how the approach for on -et work and auditions must differ. Participants will meet and rehearse on one scene prior to their workshop using a technique sheet provided by Peter as a guide.
AUCKLAND/ STARTING 10 FEBRUARY - $300
HONING TECHNIQUE - TOUCHING EXCELLENCE
FIVE EVENING SESSIONS
As actors we have to work fast, and on our own, to get our heads around the demands of the film/tv set, audition or rehearsal room. But in this five week five session evening workshop each participant will work on one or two long scenes only, in depth, to a high standard. Participants will be expected to rehearse and prepare between sessions. This is about working out what works for you and what turns your acting on. You'll reveal your potential and learn practical tools for preparation.

COME ON, SURPRISE YOURSELF!
Peter Feeney!!! He was instrumental into getting two of my sons into film. Josh and William McKenzie in the 'Hopes and Dreams of Gazza Snell,' a NZ Film. He workshopped them. He really was my God Send.
Peter is a very gifted young actor who will always be genuinely interested in exploring his work and finding new approaches to it, and opening this out to his fellow actors.
Cicely Berry, OBE, Voice Director, Royal Shakespeare Company.
Returning to acting after a break for many years I found Peter's workshops to be invaluable. Working closely with Peter in a pair-based environment also helped me to both refine my skills and gain confidence. I would wholeheartedly recommend Peter's courses to any actor who wishes to further their craft in a safe, fun and yet challenging environment.
Elizabeth Marvelly, Singer, Actor
I can thoroughly recommend Peter as a marvellous proponent of the principles and Techniques he has encountered and uses himself in his acting processes. He is a gifted man with much to contribute to his profession.
Dean Carey, Director, Actors Centre Australia
You are a wonderfully insightful and optimistic actor, and this allows you to draw the very best work out of everyone. But what is unique about this course is that you aim and succeed in giving everyone involved the skills to be this for themselves. And – above all, the classes were FUN and challenging and filled with great people! Thanks!
Lotte St. Clair, Bell Shakespeare Company Actor & Sydney Participant
Peter is an excellent teacher, he has an intuition of knowing what to say and how much to say to get the best out of a performer. Also Peter's history and skill as an actor himself provides a great range of knowledge and experience which he shares generously. I highly recommend Peter and his courses to any actor.
Chad Moffit, Wellington Participant (2013)
Hi everyone, welcome to 2014. We hope you had a good break and are eager to get some more auditions and roles this year.
Because of the extreme competition in our screen industry and the difficult task of getting auditions in a very competitive environment, we would ask you this year to choose to up your game by providing your Agents with new headshots, updated CVs and keep your acting (and other) skills fresh as well as your appearance. By doing this you will be in a far better position to be considered for jobs and for us to put you forward for them.
Also, another very serious request - and one that is constantly being asked but not everyone adhers to - will you please let us know when you are going away. It takes a moment to text or email us dates when you won't be able to audition and means a lot to us so we don't miss out on opportunities, nor do other actors. Don't forget that unless you get work, your Agent works for you for nothing and we rely on commission, if we keep losing out on audition slots because we put actors forward who aren't around then not only do we (and YOU) look unprofessional to Casting Directors but it means loss of income for all concerned and other actors miss out on auditions too.
We choose to submit those first who keep us uppermost in their minds. The same is true of the Casting Directors when selecting those to audition. That's the reality of it.
It's a new year with new choices - we'd love you to choose to keep us in the loop and yourself at the top of your chosen profession!
Happy New Year
